Improuvement -Kilograms in Fuel Unit

Hi! Recently I bought the Sportys E6B Iphone software, version 1.3.3. Could you improve, Kilograms in Fuel Units? Thank You!

Its lacking in significant areas

All the necessary functions are there but its a basic no-frills E6B. One technical problem is that you often have to tap numbers a couple times to get them to register. Its frustrating. The weight & balance doesnt store the info so you have to re-enter all values from scratch each time you use it. This combined with no graph display for W&B was a BIG dissappointment and means I wont use it. Come on how much does it take for the app to store the W&B arm and moment values and last entered weights?? All functions are pure text such as W&B as well as Crosswind which is sad given the potential for an iPhone app to display information graphically. Even some of the free E6B apps have this. No weather! The free app Ive previously used can pull down the latest METARs. Remember guys you are building this app for a device that has an Internet connection! It has a calculator function but no Memory key. When was the last time you saw a calculator without a memory function? Thats just silly! You also cant do time calculations ie 04:36:00 - 00:46:16 = ?? that would be really handy! I cant count the number of times Ive struggled to add or subtract a series of hh:mm:ss in my head for logging purposes. Timer is just a single simple count up/down timer. No way to have an overall time, with time for the current leg. If you want to time the flight and have a hold timer ... you cant do both at the same time. The count down timer alarm will go off even if youve moved to another area of the E6B which is useful but it would be nice if the alarm provided a vibrate function because you cant hear it at all in the cockpit. It doesnt remember the last function used. Everytime you start the app it takes you to the Pressure Density Altitude function. I would expect it to either remember the last screen used, or at the very least to be able to choose my start screen through a preferences option. Is it worth $4.99, not in my opinion because you can get free or paid E6B apps that do the same things better. However this is a version 1.0 so Im really hoping that Sportys will improve it because it has real potential and a nicer interface than most of the others.

Hardly worth the time, let alone the cash

Too many things simply dont work properly on this app. Save your money...

Nothing changed

Still very laggy , calculator touch button not responsive enought, TOO BASIC for that price !!!! Def. NOT worth the 10$ . Avoid it

More units please

Looking for calculations in kg for fuel not just pounds!

Basic

Its OK but has only very basic functions. Version 2.0 looks much better than the original.

Отличная программа/The Best program

Thanks to the developers! Today is the best program. easy to use and allows you to solve problems related to piloting Спасибо разработчикам! На сегодня самая лучшая программа. удобна в использовании и позволяет решать задачи связанные с пилотированием.

Apple Watch App Disappoiment

Utterly disappointed that the watch app does not have any enroute options. Can not select any planning or enroute to put on my watch. Waste of $10.00. There are free EB6 flight computers all over the place. I made an assumption that for $10 I would get something for the watch useful for in flight purpose. Every single option, the 9, have to be calculated on the ground.

be carefull

this app will not work with 2nd gen ipods, even if you have iOS 3.1.3 or greater. I have 4.2.1

Wonderful app

The iPad version is everything I hoped for and more. An outstanding job. Except for the exam and emergencies, I will retire the excellent Sportys electronic calculator, and the mechanical E6B is now scrap metal except for check rides.

Time

Love your app, but would like to see the ability to +,-,x time expressed and entered hrs min sec. The old avstar did this and was a useful function. I imagine it would be easy to add to your efb app.

Great…but needs time math

I have the Sportys electronic E6B in addition to the IPAD version. The one feature I really miss is the ability to do time math in HH:MM:SS format. There is a calculator provided in the IPAD app (which might benefit from bigger buttons), and maybe a ":" key could be added there (with the associated logic to handle it). This feature is the one thing that keeps me carrying my electronic E6B in my flight bag (as opposed to just using the IPAD version). I realize, of course, that converting HH:MM:SS to decimal time isnt rocket science, it is just a very handy time saver!

Excellent

What can I say? Another great product by Sportys!

Cant save data

The app has a lot of features, but it is ridiculous that you cant save any of your data if you switch to another part of the app. it seems like it would be so easy to save an aircraft profile so that when it comes time to calculate weight and balance all you have to do is update the aspects that have changes, e.g. useful load.

Good app but missing couple of features

Universal iPhone and iPAD apps is great! The User Interface is clean and clear compared to other E6B Ive purchased for iOS. No time calculations function compared to other iOS App I have, It think many user has mentioned this in various reviews. If the functions menu can be viewed in portrait view on iPAD as the landscape view on iPAD then it will improve the ease of use in flight when iPAD is a kneeboard.

Great design and calculations, but lacking in other areas

The best thing about this app is that it looks great, lots of calculations, and easy navigation. And the final calculations automatically update when an input is changed. However, the buttons (numbers/symbols) are way too small. There is a lot of wasted space (amongst other things a big sportys logo at the top). They could definitely fix this. It is especially apparent in the calculator- micro buttons compared to iPhone calculator. This is such a small issue, and i know that sportys has the resources to fix it. However, it doesnt seem like they are updating this app with new features. Not cool at all for a $10 app. No updates is why I give this 3 stars. A lot of other reviewers have important ideas and fixes as well that should be addressed. This app might just be dead(no real updates)

Willy

Simple and gets the job done

Good job

This is a very good app, easy to use and very helpful. $10 is a bit to much though also please add a Knots to MPH conversion because when my passengers ask how many miles per hour we are going I will be able to tell them. So please update that please since I payed $10 for this. Thanks

Overall Great

I bought another less expensive E6B application after reading some of the reviews here, and there. As a student pilot Im using the electronic E6B only to double check my work on the mechanical version. After downloading the other application and cross checking my work I found that the cheaper E6B application was getting stuff wrong (or I was always wrong)! In an effort to triple check, I spent the money on the Sportys application. Boy was I relieved when all my mechanical calculations matched up exactly with the Sportys application. The only reason I knocked off the last star, and gave it a 4 rating, is the constant Sportys banner on top. I know where I got it, Ill tell other pilots about it, please get rid of that banner and make everything else a little bigger. If you need to keep reminding me its a Sportys application flash it on start up or something. As somebody who incorrectly went cheaper the first time, Ive learned from my mistake and you can too... Get this application first.
